Anyone can voluntarily contribute/donate for the purpose of charity and welfare of great heroes in uniform and their dependents or NOKs. All donations and contributions /subscriptions to Sainik Welfare Charitable Fund are exempted from income tax under Sec 80G. Receipt for the same will be issued to the donors and dispatched to their postal address through speed post along with the card.
Sainik Welfare Donation Card Membership
The minimum rates for contribution for the beneficiaries of SWO-India is as under:
Rs 3500/- for Serving & Retired Defence and Paramilitary Forces Personnel, their Widows and NOKs.
Any individual who voluntarily donate or contribute for the charitable activity of Sainik Welfare Charitable Fund shall be accepted as a SWDC member with no liability and no voting rights .She/he shall be issued a membership number on Sainik Welfare Donation Card and shall be eligible to avail certain benefits over a period of one year from the date of receipt of donation/ subscription amount to the account of Sainik Welfare Charitable Fund.
Benefits of Sainik Welfare Donation Card Members
- 1% discount on Basic Cost of residential plots of SWO-India residential schemes except the schemes announced by SWO-India under State Govt’s Affordable Housing Schemes / Multi State Cooperative Housing Societies which are approved by Govt of Haryana or Govt of Delhi/DDA or in any other state in India.
- 0.5% discount on Basic Cost of residential flats of SWO-India residential schemes except the schemes announced by SWO-India under State Govt’s Affordable Housing Schemes.
- Beneficiary can apply of more than one residential unit within the validity period; however under mentioned benefits will only be disbursed one time lump sum and shall be applicable for ONLY one residential unit.
- In case of unfortunate demise of the SWDC Member due to Battle Casualty or Physical Casualty (only attributed or aggravated due to military service), one-time lump sum financial assistance of Rs 35,000/- and Rs 17,500/- respectively to be granted to the nominee as mentioned on the SWDC membership form and is subject to verification from the CO/OC of the unit.
- In case of unfortunate demise of the SWDC Member who had applied for any residential unit in any of the SWO-INDIA LTD residential schemes, the residential unit will be transferred to his nominee and 10% of balance payments of that residential plot or 5% of balance payments of that residential flat/villa will be waived off subject to fulfillment of conditions given below:-
- Minimum 70% of the Total Cost of the residential unit has been paid up by the member/applicant.
- All the payments made by the member/applicant, before his demise, should have been made on time as per the payment schedule of SWO-INDIA LTD.
- This benefit can be availed by the member/ applicant for ONLY one residential unit (Flat or Plot).
Q. How to Subscribe for SAINIK WELFARE DONATION CARD Membership?
A. The following procedure is to be adopted by the citizens who volunteers to donate and seek SWDC Membership:-
- Download the print out of SWDC Membership Form from the website (click here).
- The form must be signed by the applicant.
- Please ensure details of nominee and dependents are as per the service record to avail full benefits.
- Dispatch the Application by Post to: OIC, SWDC, 409, Block-C, Veer Awas, Sector -18 A, Dwarka, New Delhi -110078
- Please attach following documents :
- Photo copy of the first page of any Nationalized Bank Pass Book as Proof of identity and residence.
- Photo copy of PAN Card/AADHAR Card.
- Defence Service personnel to attach service certificate issued by an officer.
- Ex-servicemen to attach copy of ex-servicemen identity card and PPO.
- Widows to attaché copy of Identity Card issued by Zila Sainik Board and copy of PPO.
- Other Services personnel to attach service certificate issued by a superior officer/authority.

Q. Can the SWDC membership be renewed after its expiry?
A. Yes, it can be renewed after within 30 days of its expiry to avail its benefit at half the original cost.

Please Note:
- Donation / Subscription amount for SWDC membership is non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances.
- Donation / Subscription amount is payable by Demand Draft only in favor of “SAINIK WELFARE CHARITABLE FUND” payable at New Delhi
- In case of loss, duplicate Card Fee of Rs 250/- will be charged and the original card will be BLOCKED.
- FUNDS so collected through contribution for SWDC membership shall be utilized only for the purpose of charity and welfare of our great Heroes in uniform and their dependents or NOKs.
- Benevolent Fund policy of Sainik Welfare Charitable Fund permits use of FUNDS for any National Charitable Activity /Cause/Crisis or for the purpose of charity for Categories I to IV as stated above.
- SWDC membership is VALID for one year from the date of receipt of donation amount.
- There is no restriction of age in order to avail any of these benefits.
- Receipts for the donations and copy of SWDC can be generated by the donor through his/her SWDC account using his/her User ID and Password issued through mobile SMS.
- Minimum 30 days time will be taken to dispatch the receipts and cards to the members.
- Important Note: SWDC/SWC benefits or LDS Benefits shall not be applicable to the applicants or the card holders or the LDS registrants under the residential schemes announced by SWO-India which are approved or licensed under State Govt’s Affordable Housing Schemes Policies.
